knocking coming from motor, what else could it be?

in the original post pics, can you see the piston pin going thru the piston? After further review, that piston has no piston pin, and will cause knock.

Alright will do, I've sent the block and crank to the machine shop to have the block honed check the bore on the mains and cleaned, and the crank mag polished and checked


How can I tell if the rods are brushed of not?

If the rods are bushed, there will be spiralocks, or wire clips in the pistons holding the pins. If not, you will need a press to get the pistons off the rods.

Does anyone know where i can buy a lower thermostat housing from? one of the nipple cracked when i will moving the block to the stand.

Well I found the problem. It turns out that it was one of the wrist pins. Is there anything I can do to lock them in besides have the machine shop press them in?
