CD Player shuts off ?!

Aight whats going on ? everytime i click my high beams on or turn the blower on(heater) my cd player shuts off for a short second then comes right back on. any ideas why it does this ? also the car is not running it doesnt have a motor in it i was just checking everything out while installing the interior last night

My first guess is your battery doesn't have enough juice to run every thing.
Hook up a charger and try it.

What do you mean wheres the aftermarket cd player wired into? i bought a wiring harness from Ovation and it plugged right into the factory connectors?

Wait until you have the car running to worry about it, once the alternators charging I doubt that'll happen.

otherwise, 1G or 2G? if it's 1G, where'd you ground it to?

1G i grounded it to the metal chassis(for the dash) is that an ok place?

I think it's the ground. mine wasn't grounded good and every time i turned it up to a certain volume it would shut off and come back on. So i regrounded the wire and now i can blast my music all day long without it shutting off.

could it be that i have it grounded to the same place as my gauges? like maybe to many things grounded to the same spot?

try cleaning your battery terminals and cables and re-ground your radio.
