I was wondering if I should keep my current setup, which uses a vented catch can with the vent replaced with a line that runs to the intake for vacuum, with the nipple on the intake manifold capped off. or should I reconnect the manifold and cap off the vent port on the catchcan? would still have a vacuum source but the 3rd port probably couldn't be used right? which would be better? thanks in advance! I've already checked out http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-engine-fuel/366890-4g63t-pcv-system.html

Unless you're having some sort of problem relating directly to your current setup....stick with what you've got. You're evacuating with suction at all times, which is a good thing.

Make sure your line from the catch can to intake is bigger than the lines from the vc to catch can. I've got two -8 lines from vc to catch can and one -10 line from catch can to intake.

thanks, so far I've only noticed some water getting collected in the cans rather then any oil traces. The vacuum line is bigger, I was just wondering about it since its a modified vented catch can basically. So this should be better then the stock pcv system right - my current setup? thanks again

im not 100% since my pcv set up is different. i have two vents on my valve cover the one closest to the intake pipe runs right into tho cold air intake pipe. then the pcv runs to my catch can with a check valve in between then another line off the catch can to intake manifold.

found the link you need and will help you complete the right pcv hook up.
