Hey everyone so I have a 1995 eagle talon tsi with the stock cas and everything underneath the cam gear all hooked up but the last owner also had a 1g black top cas installed with the pig tales that would connect directly to the stock connections, what could go wrong if I were to plug this in and unplug my original setup?

You have to reverse the wiring back to the 95/96 style to include the crank angle sensor, the 1G style combines the cams/crank angle in to one so it is wired together.

Could there be a valid benefit in me doing so without any tuning capabilities?

I don't think there is any benefit in switching CAS. In fact I think "if it's not broken, don't fix it" fits well in your situation. If the extra CAS being used to plug the hole at the end of your head bothers you you might consider getting the OEM plug used on the 95-96 models & remove the CAS entirely. The parts are #2, #3, & #4 in the attachment.
