carpet painting!

So I'm pulling out my carpet tomorrow so i can shampoo it then paint it with the dupli color vinyl and fabric black. I was just curious as to how it would hold up on the seats and door inserts? Because I'm thinking of doing the center of the seats black than the outside edge of the seats red and doing the door inserts red just to make my interior pop if ya know what i mean. I think it will look sick as hell but i just don't know how well it will hold up. I drive the car maybe twice a week and i plan on buying different seats later on after I'm satisfied with my engine mods and i plan on doing black and red suede later on as well. Just my interior looks ghetto because everything is red, black, and white except the dingy carpet, seats, and door inserts. Well and the headliner.any thoughts will be helpful.

Like stated, dye it. Paint will rub off.

Yes, I am 3 on that, die it, it will have the factory feel.

If you paint it, the paint gets kind of hard and once you will touch the carpet, you will feel the pain right away and with the time and stepping on, it will brake the paint off..

Die is your best bet.

Oops. A little late i painted the carpet and seats. It looks really really good though. I will try to remember to post pictures tomorrow.

Interesting choice of colors. Why not just paint the inside a rainbow color?

Milliman13 I appreciate it! I do like the colors but after getting the interior put together I'm not sure how I feel about the white being in there .

Roberti 2g thanks man it took me about two weeks if not longer to get all the pieces out and painted.

I'm thinking about re-doing it ALL with red and black suede. It's just the matter of trying to find that kind of fabric in a state that is over run with camouflage .

I will get more pics today of the interior to post up so you guys can see what it all looks like.

And for you guys that are hatin and calling it a clown car. You guys are just jealous that your not creative enough to make your own cars unique from everyone else's. Rice? Uhm NO I'm helping the car look as good as the turbo spools so bite the big one thank you very much!

When all your paint flakes away, take it all off and go buy yourself a can of this:

They come in multiple colors. Yes, even red.

Use the XXX promoter on any plastic or vinyl parts. Make sure it flashes before going with the color coat. Oh, and make sure you clean your parts super well with dish soap before hand.

The seats won't need any promoter. Just spray away.

Sorry dude, but that is considered rice. You can't deny that. If you like it that's fine but don't try to convince yourself or others that it's something else. Don't believe me? Google "ricer interior" and look at the first picture. I'm not trying to hate here, I'm trying to help you understand.

Yeah... The paint is already starting to come off in the trunk but that's from pulling a big ass 15" L7 and box in and out of the trunk. Thanks for the tip on that SEM XXX paint. I won't google it .

The main reason why I did it is ### the person I got the car from painted it and did a crappy job and got red paint all over the place inside of the car. Like who the hell can manage to do that? Lol.
