carbon fiber plastic fiberglass hood

we all know people that have carbon fiber ,plastic,or fiberglass hood

but does anyone know who has a plastic,or fiberglass HATCH??

Dude, this has nothing to do with suspension, bushings, strut bars or anything of that nature. You will probably get more of a response in the appearance mods section of the forums. I know that www.skinsquids.com has a CF trunk.

never heard anything about fiberglass hatch, but squid skins and VIS both make CF hatches... VIS's isnt out yet though.

I remeber seeing that clear hood back in the day for the 2g, not sure what that was made of, some type of plastic. Its gotta be some strong plastic, seeing how the heat could chase some problems

that clear hood is for show purposes only and has no latch or anything

I just got the fiberglass hatch for the 1g and my friend has a 2g. Both came from Squidskins.(They won't do CF anymore)

Mine is a the bodyshop right now being fitted. It looks like it's ging to run about 10 hrs just for the fitting! That doesn't include any finishing work or painting.

A word of warning...it doesn't look like this thing will be at all streetable without some serious work to seal this up. There is a 2" gap in some spots between the hatch and weather stripping. If I had my time back I think I just would have put race glass in the stock hatch.

I will try to post some pics and weights when all is done.

(Pkieley) I was talking with the guy from squid skins for a while one day because i was to nervouse to order a hatch from him when he said hes not shure if it will fit and that if worse comes to worse just put hood pins in it. I told him i dont want hood pins in my hatch so therefore i never ordered it. But now that you say you bought one from him please let me know how it fit and if it is good quality. Also what was your total cost with shipping and everything? Thanks for your help
