I'm also rocking the dnp header. I recently installed it. On the stock one I regularly glowed that thing to the point where you could almost see through it and...I never hurt my hood. I've also gotten the DNP pretty damn hot and it hasn't hurt anything. Yes I'm another stock hood guy but I'm want to bring a point up about that. How about instead of wrapping and covering up the piece that everyone, myself included WANT to show off under the hood, We install something like what the stock hood had. Cut it similarly and figure out a way to attach it to the hood.

To the stock fan melter: I melted the stock a/c fan with my stock header with the heatshield on top and 3 inch downpipe with catback. I fried that bastard. So, south summer heat+hot ass motor = melted fan's no matter what manifold design.
