carbon fiber doors

I am obviously going to assume you want the doors primarily for aesthetic purposes, and less-so for saving weight. That being said, I think swapping the doors over would be a much larger pain than you might think. Even swapping out factory doors is moderately time consuming. Additionally, I am not sure how well everything will fit, and if you will have to do any modification to make things bolt up right. I have installed two CF hatches, and like every aftermarket body part, they never fit as well as factory. There are a lot of little parts which need to be attached all over the door, and still look good: belt moulding, a few weatherstrips, all window hardware, door check, speaker, latch striker, interior panels, wire boot, etc. I hope you think this over carefully and know how much work it will take to do a nice job.

In other words, when attempting any aesthetic mods like this, think about how much work and time will go into getting all the details just perfect so it really shows! Good luck with it if you decide to go that route, I think they will look very nice. :)

Perhaps you didn't notice gastroker's 9.5s 1/4 mile time. Weight savings adds up in a hurry.

Exactly look at that kids Eclipse. Lambo doors, ebay projectors, and knockoff rims. I don't think he will, or is trying to push any good track times in his lifetime.

Lambo doors are different the 10 pound doors. Your argument is that does benefit the car like the projectors and ebay parts, but you never know how much it will help. The money could be spent differently but at least he can say his doors are carbon fiber, that's awesome.

Personally I don't think they just chillin but if you throw a coat a paint on go for it!

I'm not sure why there is always this great moral debate over carbon fiber doors. Yes, your factory accessories have to be installed onto the doors to make them work. I'm not sure why that is a non-selling point, for me, the fact that factory hardware can be installed is a plus. I am also interested in seeing pictures on maybe a street or show car.

Sorry I think I mistook your waste of money quote for talking about gastroker's. I'm not all for the show car scene either.
