1G Car Wont Stay Running

To start off car ran for 6hrs fine in my garage. I went out to start it getting no spark then I changed out everything (cas, coil, ptu) getting spark, fuel and compression. Car will start and run for 5-10 seconds and dies. Then try to start the car again and just turns over. I have checked the ecu, it is fine. I checked all the wires ect, I checked the cts. Any suggestions? BTW this is a 1990 eagle talon tsi awd.

Why don't we just wait for an update after he installs his AFPR, then well make more assumptions.. as mentioned above were just giving the OP our .02, we can't fix his car... Please don't bash on eachother, it ruins the thread. I would like for this thread to be resolved.

To get back to the topic...lets try to obtain some facts.

Measure your CTS (ohms) to see if it is OK. It is a quick and lets you eliminate a possible 'cause'. Also make sure the plug wiring is OK. If you measure at the ECU, you can be sure the wiring is good. Should be 2200-2500 ohms at 70F, about 300 ohms at 180F. As noted in other posts, these cause problems with cold starts/flooding.

(And yes, I have seen these cause your car to start, but not continue to run...depends on temp, fuel pressure, fuel pump voltage, injector size, return line size, etc)
