92 Diamante wont stay running

Hello I have a problem with my Diamante, this site was refered to me. And I could really use some help.
Its a 92 Diamante with the DOHC 3.0 motor.
The body has 150 k but the motor was replaced bout a year ago.
A couple of months ago the car would run poorly and shut off.
I replaced the crank/cam sensor assembly. The igniter also.
So
Now the car runs good. But after 15-20 minutes of running it shuts off. I noticed that when it shuts off the check engine comes on and what ever
"fixes" itself the check engine light goes out and I can start the car back up.

This is a unique problem. When the car shuts off do you have to wait for it to cool off before restarting it? Also, have you managed to pull the code for the check engine light before it resets? Please provide as much information as possible. Based off the minimal info given it sounds like it could be an issue with the ecu.
