Car wont rev past 5500 somtimes 6500 no check engine light or fuelcut.

I replace the maf and that seems to have helped eliminate the check engine for maf.Thought the car wont rev past 5500-6500 i cant figure it out. Its like the car has a stuterbox launch and its not like fuel cut, when it gets to 5500-6500 it just stays there wont go any higher or lower until i let off the gas.
 
How do i check the tps sensor?

Usually you buy a service manual and follow the procedure listed.
In the case of the TPS you check to make sure that its resistance meets the minimum and max values and that it changes smoothly across the full range without and spikes or dropouts.

Then you make sure it's adjusted correctly.

I don't think the TPS itself is going to limit the RPMs that's more a mechanical issue. The car will hit the rev limiter without a TPS in limp mode.

One of my 1G buddies had something similar happen to him recently. Did you change or mess with any of the ignition components lately? It could be a bad coil pack, power transistor or something similar. I've seen it a few times where people couldn't rev over a certain rpm limit that their coil pack was bad, or there ignition wires are installed in the incorrect order.
 
I had a problem semiluar but it was first 4k then went down to 3500, problem with mines was injectors after searching around figured the main cause of problems like this would be either your ecu, injectors, cas those are the things I'd have checked first if you have a friend with a 1g then swap ecus and see if it'll rev past that also check your spark plugs. hope that helped.

Thanks ill check in the morning, the injectors are new and never did this before but i did move the ignition pack around
