So I was driving and I recently replaced my center diff with a 4 spider. Then I was drivin and noticed when engine breaking I could hear a slight wine. Like a siren or something. At idle and free reving no noise.

So I start heading home, scared, I feel it come out of gear with a small pop and then I lost every gear. So I coast into a lot fast! and try to creep it but every gear is neutral.

I have to push the car like 20 yards becasue I ran out of speed. I can hear something poping and I am just bummed. So then I get it in a stall and start it up. Goes into every gear fine without any notchy feeling or grinding with the clutch in, as I back it out it does make a funky noise no matter what gear.

The only gear I did no try is reverse. Where should I start? Could I of burned up the Viscous Coupling when I blew the stock center diff? Or should I check my xcase?

I had a similar thing happen to me when I unknowignly tried to drive the car after my R/R drive axle had snapped inside the pumpkin. the VC would transmit 100% power to the front wheels but would overheat and I'd loose all forward gears. When let cool down, I'd be able to move again, but would still overheat/fail in a matter of miles. That being said, could also be a broken transfercase/output shaft/stripped splines on output shaft or rear diff itself is fubarred :dsm:
