i aquired a water leak back a few months when my water pump belt snaped... i fixed the leak and now my car is doin somefunny things. First, its blowing the top hose up like a balloon, Second, the water is flowing strait out the over flow and it will not keep temp...wtf is wrong...The only thing i can think of is just maybe that the stock radiator cant keep up...but the car will keep for awile. so i dont know...please help if you can. Thanks :talon:

Did you overfill your car with rad fuid? Are you using an aftermarket radiator Cap? Did you check both your radiator hoses for cinks or twists? After all of this do a radiator flush maybe your radiator is so clogged that the water pressue went up. Kind of like saturated fats building in your artories (increases blood pressure). Check those things out first.

NO, No, Yes, and i just had the radiator out and cleaned today...im thinkin maybe try open thermostat and see what that does. i ve gone though 3 thinking that was the problem

That's real smart.....

Put the thermostat back in.

Overheating problems....
1) Replace Rad. Cap
2) Replace Thermostat
3) Check the hoses for damage
4) Make sure your fan is coming on
5) Compression test

Notice #2 says replace, NOT remove.

i just recently had the same problem..i had a blown head gasket,,do a compression test and if you get 120+ across the board your good...now if your lucky like me and get 30psi 30psi 60psi and 120psi then you have a blown head gasket...but give it a check and let us know what happens :thumb:

it is my head gasket...i just fished putting it back together. and no compression before was 165 170 170 170. nothing really the problem. thats y i wasnt leading to the head gasket but i definily was :talon:
