Car won't fire with TMO chip nor stock Eprom???

I recently had my 95 ECU socketed for the TMO Stage 3 chip upgrade (by a professional electrical engineer, he does this for a living)...needless to say now I have had the socket installed and the car won't fire with neither the TMO chip or the stock Eprom chip...I had the engineer resolder the socket and it stopped clicking but still wouldn't catch? It almost caught once (the first time we tried) but then wouldn't at all???

I also have a 97 ECU and once I switch the plug wires, the car runs (albeit not great but it does run my 95 TSi).

TMO has a help link, but it concerns the idle switch...if my idle switch was screwed then wouldn't it screw up for the 97 ECU as well?? Better question where is my "idle switch", are they referring to TPS?

Sounds like this genius fried your ECU if it won't even start with the stock chip. You did install both chips in the right direction... right? If not they're fried.
