I was on my way home and my car just stalled....it made a weird noise like the timing belt snapping.....checked the timing belt and its fine....then I noticed that the oil return line from the oil pan to the turbo must have got hit cause it was scuffed/creased and there was a hole in it(its an aftermarket hose for my new turbo).....so I leaked out oil the whole way home(not a huge ammount but it was a lot).....did my engine sieze up cause of this?
thanks for the help

Your engine probably didn't seize because of low oil.

I put on a 14b and my oil return line wasn't on right, I drove a couple of blocks not knowing and I can sense something wrong with my engine. Sound like the power steering belt was rubbing against the timing belt cover. I checked my oil level, zero. I fixed it, put more oil, and noise went away. G/L

In my own experience.... I actually seized my engine and something very similar happened to me. Heard a noise and boom nothing. Mine continued to turn over. I had a seized head. But my lower end was still turning freely. So you could have seized something in the lower end. I only had a leak on my oil filter...dont ask...but I agree. Try the breaker bar on the crank pulley. If nothing then its possibly seized... but lets hope not!!

thanks for the help everyone.........I just drained my oil and there was about 2 quarts at most in there.......also when i took the oil cap out it smelled really bad..like burnt something.....I will try the breaker bar to the pulley
thanks again :dsm:

just tried the breaker bar and all the pullys move freely and easily..........is there anyway the starter could be jammed in the flywheel or something?? also when I try cranking it, it sounds like a ton of energy is being put into the cranking(lights go dim/out..ect)

if your using the breaker bar on the crank and everything is moving freely your starter wouldn't be jamming the flywheel. Your either missing out on fuel or spark. Maybe your motor jumped timing.

**edit***
Is the motor trying to turn over while cranking?

EDIT: actually the crank pulley isnt turning............the belt was just slipping......im gonna look at the starter tomorrow and if its not jammed in there Ill probably start taking apart the motor:notgood:

Is the belt slipping on the crank pully? so when you turn it the pulley turns the crank but the belt doesn't move? If so, that exactly what happened to me. The teeth on the timing belt around that aera of the pully got stripped because the head seized. That could be the same for you....:(. I really hope not though.

Yea, I'm going to call this one. Oil pump locked up, teeth of the timing belt will have assembled in front of the crankshaft timing pulley. Intake valves will be bent, most likely all. And if you're the lucky type the #1 connecting rod is bent and/or broken from the rod caps.

Sorry for you luck, but I've seen this before many times.
