Alright my car started acting weird after installing my boost controller and a new alternator. The car wont boost past 5000 rpms and it feels like the wastegate is acting kind of weird. Any ideas what it can be. Also is my MBC conected right? Here are some pics I disconnected the MBC and it runs a little better.

That looks right. Try running a vac line straight from the boost source to the WG actuator, see what it does. Also those lines look pretty old, might check into replacing them, just for peace of mind? :)

Boost controller should be: one line from boost source to controller and line out from controller to WG. (You don't need something else). What you've got there must be right, otherwise your wastegate wouldn't open and your boost would shoot up, (I've seen crossed lines before). Post what it does when you put the line straight from boost source to WG actuator. If it doesn't work then, the wastegate flapper or wastegate is the problem. And I second replacing the vac lines with new ones.

I ran the the line straight from boost source to WG actuator. It still ran with some problems but a little better

Ok i hooked the car up to the OBD2 and these are the codes i got.
p0304 cylinder 4 misfire
p1105 fuel pressure solenoid malfunction
p1103 turbo wastegate actuator malfunction
p0551 power steering pressure switch failure
p1109 cant find it

OK i think this is bad. Cylinder 4 misfire can this mean new spark plug wires i still have stock wires and there pretty old. And can the wastegate actuator malfunction be the problem with me not being able to boost past 5000 rpms? How do i fix this?

Sounds like you need to be doing some maintanance before you start modding:thumb:I had a thousand dollars easy in maintanance before i bought my first speed part:notgood:

Definitely replace the plugs and wires. What exactly was it doing when you directly routed the boost signal to the actuator? What do you mean a little better? I'm pretty sure its bad especially with the code. If you replace plugs and wires and it's still misfiring tell me.

I don't even have my fuel pressure solenoid plugged in. I've never gotten a code for it.

My car gets cylinder misfire every so often when it's cold. What all did you touch when you did the alternator install?

Well the car still runs like crap even without the MBC installed so im just going to put it back on. I still need to get new plugs and try that out.Heres some pics of my setup let me know if you spot anything that might not be right.

Im going to try and video tape what it sounds like tomorrow.

Well actually you might want to replace that crank breather filter with the setup I have. Wish I could post a pic right now but me and a 420a guy I help have this setup and it works great. Instead of the filter or a catch can, run the line to your intake like stock but put a cheap clear fuel filter from advanced auto in the line. It's not your problem but it's a tangent suggestion. Have you compensated for venting your BOV to the atmosphere? Oh and tie down your battery. I had problems with that...

If you want me to explain why you don't want that little filter I will.:thumb:

Yea can you explain why i wouldnt want that little filter. And does anyone know how to fix the wastegate actuator?
