Well my car has been dead for about a month now. I was driving normal and it just died on me when it stopped running. I checked timing belt, spark plugs, coil, etc...just about everything i could think of on my own. I just replaced my Camshaft angle sensor and thats not it either.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have thought of my crank angle sensor, but i dont know where its at or if this would be the cause.

Any help is appreciated guys.

Thanks,
Cody

Well since my boost gauge(stock) isnt working then what would you suggest Steve? And so I guess that means that I can rule out my PTM? And one more thing, would a blown fuse in the foot well make this all go wrong? If so then which one or one's would be the most likely?

And thanks for all your help guys. Expecially Steve! :thumb:

I tried to give you all the information but maybe it was too much at once.
All three fuses need to be working. I'd check them starting with the Blue 20A MPI fuse on the battery. While your there check the pink 30A ignition fuse too, I expect it's good but it won't hurt to verify it.
Then check the two fuses in the footwell. Fuse 19 is the one on the bottom right. Fuse 11 is the middle row one in from the right. Both are 10A fuses.

If all the fuses are good, then check to make sure the CEL light comes on when you first tunr the ignition on to the run position for three to four seconds. If the CEL doesn't come on then there is a problem getting main power to the ECU and that could mean the MPI relay has a problem or somthing has happened to your ECU.

I'm just trying to eliminate one thing at a time to avoid replacing anything else unless we can be sure it's bad.

Alright, thank you Steve. I understood it at first, but for some reason I felt the need to double check and make sure. I will check tomorrow.
Thanks again Steve!

Alright Steve well I replaced the MPI fuse again because it had blown again. Also the reason it sounded like crap when it was running for the few seconds last time, was b/c my dad got the plug wires in wrong order. So i fixed the wires and replaced the fuse and it started up and ran perfect for about a minute, then it just died. The MPI fuse LOOKS good but I dont know so im off to the store to get another fuse and see if it starts up again.

And if my ISC was bad, then what percentage would it read on my logger with just the key turned on?

Also my boost gauge works now, and so does the CEL light BUT I cant get my darn logger to work!!

So whats next Steve?

Ok well it didnt blow the fuse again. So now its just not wanting to start.
And my logger works now!! :) I really dont know now, darnit. It ran good for about a minute then just died. And now wont start at all. It sounds like it wants to every like 4th or 5th try but it doesnt. I went and bought a fuel filter when I got the last fuse. Maybe my fuel filter is just clogged. It kinda makes sense that it might be because of it trying to start every 4th or 5th key. Wouldnt you think?

Well any ideas would help GREATLY! Im so close to getting my baby running again.

Well I FINALLY fixed my car. Turns out it was the fuel filter. Well the reason it died in the first place is because I have my O2 sensor unplugged and the positive wire from the harness that goes to the O2 sensor touched some metal and blew the MPI fuse, OR my CAS went out which made my MPI fuse blow. Not sure which one it was, but i replaced them both and now things are fine.

So to all of you who helped, expecially Steve, thanks a lot!!

That's great, I hope it runs for a while now:)

Mine is down while I replace the front passenger ball joint again. I must have ruined it putting it in because it was leaking grease and the front end was mistracking. It only lasted a month.
And I had to put a new battery in last week, and I pretty sure I need a new knock sensor and O2. I noticed the goo when I rebuilt the driveshaft and did the control arms and now I'm starting to see knock where I've never had any knock in the past.

I hope it runs for a while now as well!

Mine knocks if I boost over like 12lbs and I have all supporting mods, except for hard uicp. Im pretty sure that it is leaking so im going to get a hard one and hope for the best.

Good luck.
