i basically drove it home last night, it ran fine, and i went back out a few hours later to it not running at all! i had done nothing to it.. it runs like the MAF is unplugged. i checked all the IC hoses and everything is good there.

any ideas? could my MAF just die on me, or is there something else i may not know about in the TB area that could just die. what gets me is that i didnt touch it after i parked it.. so it had to be messed up already but still ran fine?

I same thing happened to me and my car is still in the shop. My mechanic looked at my car and he found one problem so far. My caps on my ECU were leaking. He is currently looking through my wires because I may also hav a short somewhere. I would say check your computer as well. (Only thing is I have a 1g and you have a 2g turbo)

They ecu has capasitors that leak overtime . They leak out a internal residue that make the capsitors work . The fliud will travel horizontaly through your board on the ecu . This causes things to short out . That symptom you have described sounds like a possibility of this. The best way to find out is to plug a logger in it and see what the values are doing with just the key turned forward . If anything is moving when the key is forward but the car is not running the ecu is shorting out. You can do a visual test and smell as well . You need to remove the ecu pull the cover off and look in side for the round capistors . Also if it smells like fish or just nasty they are leaking . If it is real bad you will see discoloration in the board. I hope this helps some . I ll give you a link. http://www.tmo.com/howto/ecu1g/caps.htm

wow thanks for that reply on the caps! ill try and hook up points if i can. also i think its an injector? i unplugged injector 4 and it ran a little better.. then moved its seating around and plugged back in and it ran good..?? yikes.

also is it possible for a faulty injector to hydrolock an engine?
