car starter keeps starting after I have taken out the key

The starter on my car will continue to try and start after I have removed the key from the ignition. WTF WTF This is weird as hell. What could this be? Could this a problem with the ECU? I know it isn't the start b/c I had the starter check b4 I put it on.

i would check the sataterwiring circuit

How long have you had the car? Might be the previous owner had installed a remote starter. Mine acts up like that sometimes when i mess around with the ign n starter wiring.
Try to start it with the handbrake down.
