My car latley wont start. I usually dont drive my car during the week, and it usually sits in a outside lot thats kind of difficult for me reach (college campus). So like usual i try to go get it on the weekend, last weekend i noticed it wouldnt start, so i got a jump and it ran fine for the remained of the 2 days of the weekend. Another week went by, and i went to go get it tonight, but again it wouldnt start. Any clue on whats wrong? Btw, the battery is only a little over a year old.

thanks for the info Defiant, although i dont have acess to a voltmeter out here, im pretty sure its the battery. Im just gona go ahead and pickup a optima off ebay, anyone know what model the 2g eclipse uses? according to their website, there is none.

Sounds like you might have something draining the battery. Do all the interior lights go off when you get out of the car? Have an aftermarket stereo/amp? Do the vanity lights work on the visors? I'd do a little investigating on the wiring before replacing the battery.

I thought something could be staying on, but ive only owned the car for a month and the only electronic perhiperals ive installed was a hks turbo timer and the light wiring for a apexi boost gauge, ive watched the car turn off numerous times looking for something to stay on but nothing does. And the mods i listed are the only ones on the car wiring wise. everything else is stock. When i use the autolock feature on my keys, the car is suposed to flash a little green light saying security correct?

I wonder if it's your turbo timer. I'm not exactly sure how one is hooked up, but if it just uses 1 12v constant power supply, it could be staying on and draining your battery. try unhooking it before your car sits again for the week and see if your car will start.
