car shifting like ass

here's the problem. shifting feels very notchy.. sometimes i get really smooth shifter action, usually if i shift right at 3000, or 4000. anywhere in between it feels like its hitting a gear as it moves. for example, try shifting without the clutch pedal depressed all the way.. it kinda hits an obstruction right? that's how mine shifts almost all the time. i adjusted the clutch pedal, gave it a few turns and that helped it for a while but still not 100%. i can sit there with the pedal pushed down as hard as i can.. wiggle it from N to 2nd when the car is moving (i.e. about to shift from 1st to 2nd, so about 20mph?).. and if i kinda hold it right inbetween it will almost catch a gear.. i can feel something moving underneath the shifter. also its a BEAR to get into 1st gear sometimes. i have to really push on that thing if i'm not COMPLETELY sitting still. i mean even at 5mph it gets hard to push.

wtf could all this be about? clutch problems? master cylinder? oh yeah i recently changed my tranny fluid to syncroshift ii -- no improvements... in fact now i get loud gear whine in 1st and 2nd.

Hey cheese boy, no need to look like ur masterbaiting in ur car. Just put it in 2nd then try reverse

Same, I hate it although I can't shift normally as I would to go into any other gear. I have to shift a little slower going into 2nd, pausing in neutral for a sec. Downshifting into 2nd on the other hand will grind 100% of the time unless I slow down enough but by that time I can put it in 1st.

, sometimes my car is so stubborn going into reverse, and i get so pissed off trying to go from first to reverse, then second to reverse, me and the passenger open our doors, put our feet on the ground and push.

then the shifter slips right into reverse with no effort.

i should get it on video, really classy.

Are there any good shift kits or rebuild kits that can help this issue?

Are there any alternative setups that will work as replacements.

I want to make this a drag car so crummy shifting will not due!

Solid shifter bushings or skate bearings at the trans, nee bushings in the shifter in cab.

I was reading shifting issue threads and this appeared to be the most applicable one out of them.

Is there a general timeline/timeframe that I should follow on bringing threads back?
