car shaking no power in high end

I was driving home from work and turned a corner. After the corner my car started shaking alot and i had very little power. I pulled over onto a side street and popped the hood. I did not see anything loose or not connected. Car revs freely while not under load in neutral. It feels like something popped off or i blew some type of gasket but the car shakes horribly when i was trying to limp it home but only under load. when coasting no shaking so it is coming from the engine. Is this some kinda huge boost leak or what? Any help is greatly appreciated. On a side note i need to drive this car to work in a couple of hours will that be possible? thanks alot

What's your boost gauge reading under high load, high RPMs? Does your idle RPMs jump around a lot? If boost gauge is reading low, or the RPMs are hunting rapidly, it's probably a boost leak. I've heard that if you sit parked and hold the RPMs at 1500 and it starts jumping all over, it's a good indication of a boost leak.

It could also be misfiring badly under load.
