So I installed my fmic and decided to take my car for a test ride. I'm driving normal, shifting between 2500 and 3k, I get grey smoke coming out of my downpipe(dont have catback yet) then my car begins auto revving while in neutral at 3500 and when the clutch is pushed in...seconds later the cabin is beginning to fill with the grey smoke and I shut it off. I started it back up about 25min later and it was fine and I was able to get it back to my dad's shop.
Only things that I removed during install were my fog lights and my driver side fan. I also had to cut my bumper. Could the resin dust from the bumper have been the burning smell? I got about 95% of it off before I installed my bumper. I did not cover my fog light plugs, but did zip tie them securely along with my plug for my fan.
Thanks for the help,
Mike
