Hi i installed my jfab intake mani the other day and now the car runs like shit. it will boost but dosent go any where so i didnt a boost leak test and found a leak comeing from the intake but it dosent seem like it would be big enough to effect the car this much! I will have to retune the car for sure but should it have power? even w/o the tune.

Fix the leak. I use "Hylomar" to seal the intake manifold gasket but with a new gasket you don't really need anything. And please never use RTV on an intake manifold gasket like I attempted to.

I dont think its leaking from the intake to the block it sounds to me from back of the intake maybe at one of the brass nipples.

If you can remove the nipple I would say pull it out and wrap some teflon tape around it to help it get a better seal, or you could just put a bunch of JB Weld around it LOL.

When I installed one on my car a few years ago the car was very lean afterwards. You need to retune and most likely add fuel to it. Boost leaks need fixed first tho.

Also my CEL is on now with codes po325 = back knock sensor WTF and po443  I dont see how my knock sensor is bad it worked before hand! where is this sensor located? im pretty sure i hooked everything back up when i did the intake swap.

I will clim under the car and make sure none of the vac lines came off the intake as well

Knock sensor is screwed into the block below the intake mani. Check to make sure that its plugged in and looks good

Untuned, the car could run dangerously lean.

Stop experimenting and get some fuel in it before you hurt the motor.

Do you have the ability to datalog?
