i was drivin my car and like 5 minutes later my radio just went off... so i decided to shut the car off and start it up again ... when i went to hit the ignition again nothing... it cranked a bit... then nothing, my friend came to help jump me, the jump started my car but she sounded funny, then died... and after that i couldn't even jump her, she wouldn't even crank.. my map light works bright, my wipers r slow (don't know if that means anything)... and sparatically my car used to once in a while just stall on me at low speeds... if it were the alternator then jumping the car should have done the trick, if it were the battery the alternator should have sustained the radio, i don't think it's the started cause it just killed the radio (my first sign of power failure) y would it start once with jump and not again? HELP PLEASE!!!!!! i have a 4 day weekend comin up and really need the car and i left it in some parking lot and couldn't get it back home.... thanx

check all your power connections on the battery and starter...make sure you check your fuses under there too...could be as simple as a bad connection or corrosion

ok... woke up this morning and went to go try to check on the car... got in the car... thought just for pete's sake i'd turn the ignition and BLAM... she fired right up!!!! i drove her to with in one block of home and she starting sounding rough and she would move but real rough and eratic and slow... i pulled it to a parking lot... pulled off the t-belt cover and checked the belt like Defiant said... i yanked on it... still seemed tight... if it were broke it wouldn't be tight no more right? and checked the 3 fuse boxes i did find and didn't find a blown fuse... exactly what fuse and where is it should i be looking at... cause the car won't start again... and i have a power steerin leak and i heard that'll mess with ur alternator... how do i check if the alt is bad also?? but if the alt was bad y woulnd't the car start with a jump but would again in morning?
