420A Car running rich

My 420a is NT right now trying to break it in and the spark plugs will foul so fast and be soot black. When I bought this car it used to be boosted and the guy had a vortech FMU on the car. I am running 50-55 psi at idle and at full throttle around 55 psi. What should the stock fuel pressure be. I am seeing so many conflicting statements and does anybody know how to delete the Vortech FMU? If that fuel pressure is too high. It has a stock fuel pump and injecters so this FMU has to be whats causing it.

The fuel pressure. It's been years since I checked fuel pressure on a stock 420A, but it's in the 40's. 42 or 45 IIRC. With a higher fuel pressure, the flow rate of your injectors changes entirely.

So 50-55 would definitely cause the car to run rich?
