:confused:Hello Tuners!!!

I have a little problem with my cars radio right now, i got a 1998 Eclipse GST, so i put my new headunit together and when done nothign works, so take it off, and start from 1 step back, checked power to radio 12v Constant works But not ignition 12v, so disconnect the Headunits harness of the cars Harness, and check with test light as well, and get no power on any of the pins, but the Constant 12v I do, No ignition 12V...

Checked my fuses(2), Radio-10amp, Ignition 30amp(Big Pink), both under-hood, both good..

So i thought of something, "disconnect the 30amp fuse to see if the key goes on", did it key wont go on, put 30amp fuse back on and key goes back on. All good there.. So this tells me that ignition power is good from Fuse Block all the way to Ignition switch.. Now, i don't have a wiring diagram for this car radio harness, but im guesssing the problem is from ignition switch from the Radio Harness, or does it come from somewhere else?
* if anyone can provide a diagram of this wiring, please do Thank you*

let me give you a bit of background on some add-ons.:::
I put a HKS Type-0 Turbo Timer with Plug & Play Harness, no wiring to do it goes three way, Car harness>Switch>Turbo Timer..
--Not sure but have anyone heard of this causing problems? --

Its late now but tomorrow i will put ignition plug back to switch instead of timer, and see what happens..

If anyone has any idea what else i can do or if ya have had this symptons before please help..

Thank You:)
Cisco..

Do like i did in my old car run a wire through the steering wheel boot form the + side of the battery with a 15amp inline fuse then get a a switch form your auto parts store and wire it up that way instate fix. i never frigged out what it was.

Yes i can do this, but i can also run a wire from the ignition plug on the switch with a 10amp fuse to the harness and just splice into it.

***But also what i want is to see whats actually happening with this thing, i have no Idea at all, and i would like to see if i can fix it to keep it like it was..

This just happened, well last time i used the radio was when i had a kenwoo, and it worked, i put a Turbo Timer, and nothign i get no Ignition 12V, just Constant 12V to the Radio Cars Harness, what i may do is take the Turbo Timer off tomorrow and see if it starts working, if i had a Wiring Diagram it would be easier. That way i can trace from the harness to where is coming from..

Thanxs for the Idea any ways..:thumb:

Yea, but i live pretty far from there LOL..

I traced all i can, and did what i thought of, but ran of what else i can do... I also ran back like a feet to where the wires kind of go up on the dash and up to all the way up there, no power. Just wonderign if its the Turbo Timer, tomorrow we'll find out, when i unplug it and plug the connector directly to the switch, if it works then ill see if its missing the plug there or what. Tomorrow we'll see whats up...
