Did you check the MAF sensor on the airbox? Won't start w/o that. And also, you said you cleaned under the plug wire cover. Did you wipe it out or use something to clean it? Hopefully you didn't get the cam sensor wet. If you are sure everything is where it was, check for spark.

Also, the spark plug wires might be wet from the inside. This wont let the car to start. it happened to mine wires too when i cleaned the engine bay at the carwash.

You probably forgot to plug a wire or something in or you plugged something in where it doesn't belong. I remember having problems like this with my old car when I changed the cover gasket. Double check if everything is plugged in correctly and where it's supposed to be plugged in.

i checked and rechecked everything! the maf sensor is plugged in.. i even unplugged it and plugged ut back in until it clicked.. my spark plug wire were find before i did all this i dont think anything that i did would of messed those up.... how easy though is it to get the wires wet enough not let my car start ???? cause i do member spraying some cleaner around them.. but not that much... and another thing...???? when i turn my key to that start position should i be able to hear my fuel pump running??? i have a walbro 255 so its loud enough to hear... but should i hear it when my key is in the run position without the car started ??? maybe my car isnt getting any fuel????

Well the easiest way to check would prob. be to remove a spark plug after cranking and see if they are wet. Make sure your cam and crank sensors are both plugged in. They are right there together to the back of the timing cover. Maybe you accidentally pulled one of em apart?

OOp my bad...you are 1g. Those locations on the sensors i told are incorrect. Sry. Anyway, try and check those.

Did you take the spark plugs out? Some of that cleaner could have gotten down in the spark plug wells? What type cleaner was it?

the cleaner was kinda like a non name brand all purpose cleaner.. i dont think that much of it could of gotten down there... so im not sure of what happend... any other ideas???

No, you won't hear the Walbro until you put it into the 'start' position, and it'll probably be drowned out by the starter sound. Only know this because my starter recently died, and I thought the fuel pump (didn't know I had an upgraded one... hidden mod from a prior owner) was the starter shaft spinning. :)

How long have you tried cranking it for? Mine has a hard time starting (related issue... walbro with no AFPR for a year), and it takes about seven to ten seconds to turn over first thing in the morning.

But yeah... make sure your CAS didn't get wet, or any cleanser on it. The green metal or black plastic-capped hockey puck on the left side of the valve cover. Might try taking off your plug wires and shining a light down the wells to make sure there's no water down there... it's been known to happen that if standing water gets down there, it'll short the spark.. sometimes through the insulator on the spark wire. Which is REALLY bad (can destroy spark wires), and hard to notice the ballpoint-pen-tip sized discoloration or carbon mark.

still no luck guys... i have spark i know that.... i have fuel.. the walbro is running... and the maf sensor is plugged in... i dunno what else to do !! im stuck on what to look at next... and were is the cas so i can check that too im not to sure what it is or what it does... but everything else looks good and it still wont start!!! :talon:

i have the same problem dude.....after open up and cleaning MAF and upper IC hos it won't start, it only crank over and over.... how about you dude, did you solved the problem
