i have a 97 spyder stock gst with 92 k on it. i noticed that my car is getiing very hot even when i move it from across the street to my garage even the stand that hold the hood open is hot. i checked my radiator and it is full my fans turn on and my temp indicator inside the car says it fine so i dont know what the problem is has anyone had this problem?

Agree. I'm betting it's just the heat from the exhaust and turbo your feeling. They get pretty darn warm.

when i bought mine the thermostat would stick open sometimes not allowing the car to build heat and sometimes it woul stick closed which made it run hot. if it's actually hot to the point of overheating the coolant will boil a bit. but when mine is running normal it feels really hot under the hood

+1 Themostat stuck closed

If that were true it'd show on the temp gauge, or the gauge shouldn't work at all.

If the op has never had a turbo car before the underhood temps are probably just much motor than he's use to. Let me take you for a spin in our 67 chevy c10 with a monster cam in a 383 stroker with long tubes and even straight beating that thing the under hood temps don't come close to what they are in my talon after a short mild drive.

Yup, Same problem here but Iv'e heard that we do get very hot engines with these cars also they'll take forever to cool off

no everything is fine my fluids are all at limit no bubbling that iv noticed i just dont wanna step on the gas and have my heads blown due to all the heat

most likely normal. scan tool then after that replace the thermostat with a fail safe one just to be sure you have coolant flow no matter what.
