ok this has been happeneing a lot lately and i am pissed! car is a 95 talon tsi AUTO. When i put the car in park or neutral the rpms go close to 3k!!! and if i am stiing at a light in drive it idles at 1k. What s goin on here? could it be the tps? how do i adjust it? could it be broken? HELP! also could a faulty secondary 02 sensor have any effect on this(prolly not)?

Do you have the AC on the times when you're parked? DSMs tend to idle a little higher when the AC is on so it doesn't stall. I would check your BISS screw too, see if you can fine-tune it a bit from there. If all else fails, I would say the TPS is at fault.

It's the deep-welled hole on the throttle body/intake manifold. Just a standard phillips screw that can tweak the idle up/down.
