Car hates second gear.

For about a week now second gear has been grinding.Now even if i get it in second it throws it back out.My synchros gone or what?I just switched to synchromesh but think its to late.

why are you double posting? syncromesh can help but it takes a bit to get "worked" in and do its magic

Not dubble posting.1st post was about clutch line. This ones about synchromesh,and 1st post was about just grinding, and this one is about throwing it out of gear.

at this point you will probably need to rebuild the trans. If it is popping out of gear changing the synchro alone will not fix the problem. To correct this I would replace the shift fork, hub and sleeve, gear, synchro and the shift fork. The shift fork may not be necessary but i would check it for wear. Or it may just be a worn taper bearing opposite the bellhousing on the intermediate gear assembly.
