When i turn the steering wheel the car groans like crazy only the left side though i checked a couple threads but their was no real answer. Its not my power steering i just put in brand new tokico shocks with lowering springs the groaning did happen before the new shocks but not as loud also put in a new ball joint on the left side (broke it during shock installation) and a new sway bar link does anyone know what is causing this problem?

I was thinking either the calipers locked up or a control arm...

would appreciate any help, thanks.

what about the other ball joint? For that is what I was going to point to is that a bad ball joint "groaning" on you when you turn the wheel.

raise the front end with a floor jack on the center beam and pry under the "A" arm and check for play on that side ...

Good luck-DSM

Any ball and socket type connection can cause the symptom you are describing when they become worn. Have you checked your upper arm ball joint, inner and outer tie rods and trailing arm ball joint? Look for torn boots or any play in the arms. Usually if a sound is loud enough, it can be 'felt' in the component doing it. If you have someone turn the wheel and put your hand on various components, you can usually narrow it down.

alright ill give those a check today and see if that helps, thanks guys

It was a lower ball joint problem if i drove any longer with it i probably would have died.
