Car doesn't seem to pull as strong as it's supposed to from time to time?!?!help wtf?

Ok, this happens fom time to time (mostly after I have been driving the car for around 30 mins or so). The car doesn't seem to pull as strong as it is supposed to. The turbo spools up and everything but the car doesn't seem to pull as strong as usual. Anybody know what the problem is? Heat soak perhaps? Is there anything I can do to solve this problem?

The car is completly stock, running 15psi.

my guess is heat soak of the intercooler, especially now that its beggining to warm up.

Try cleaning you intercooler, you may have a bunch of build up stuck in it causing poor air flow & poor cooling.

You have a complete stock 2g. Thats your problem. There is no way you run 15 psi stock. Our plastic BOV's leak at like 13 psi. I am stock also and i hit 13 then drop to 12. But yes cleaning out the intercooler can always help especially if it has never been cleaned. What kind of temperatures are you seeing there?

In another post kinda like this one. Some one not sure who (sorry for not giving credit) said that switching to a supra side intercooler should help with heatsoak problem. I would start with cleaning it first. Thats my plan for this weekend. To take off all of my piping and clean it all out.

heatsoaking of the stock smic is your problem. Try touching your uicp after driving for 30 mins, bet its hella hot

k, I'll clean the intercooler. I hope that's a temporary solution until I switch to a fmic.
What liquid should I use? Water, gasoline?

My bov doesn't seem to leak at all. My boost gauge is showing 15psi and that's how it stays throughout the rpm range once the turbo kicks in.

Use Fuel. Supra SMIC's are nice. I'm getting mine in on Tuesday. Also, BOV's leak on a car to car basis. Mine doesn't but my friend's does at 13 psi. I run 15, rather I ran 15. Anywho....

Upgrade to a Supra SMIC, it's 150 bucks shipped and the IC is capable of supporting 550 whp on a Supra.... OBVIOUSLY it'll be a drastic increase for us. Upgrade the pipes also. Those pesky stock pipes are full of restriction....

Check eBay or the Classifieds. Make sure its's from an MKIV Supra. I think the IIIs used a front mount. Besides flipping the end tanks, it's just about a bolt-on affair with a 2g.

take it off the car, cap one end with your hand. Pour fuel into the other end and then cap that side with other hand. Shake intercooler so fuel splashes around inside. pour gas out and repeat untill the gas comes out clear and not black.

Are you boosting the whole 30 min? I doubt it's that. My car is running like crap sometimes too and I have a large Hahn FMIC.

My buddys car (racer66) does about the same thing. It will boost just fine but not pull at all. At this point, seems like a honda could beat us. But do you think that he could have the same heat soak problem?

Going in to another direction with this post. Could it be your clutch slipping a little bit. This could cause the car to still reach full boost as mentioned, but feel as if its pulling a lot weaker.
