ok, i had to go into town to day so i got in my car and took off. it drove fine for the hour and a half of driving i did. so i go home shut it off and go inside and not even 10 minutes later i had to leave again. so i hop in it and it start and idels fine. i put it into drive and hit the gas (BARELY) and it dies. i start it right back up and this time for curiosity i hit the gas in neutral and it dies again by barely hitting the gas, so i know it has nothing to do with being under load. i start it one more time to just see what my a/f readings are and at idle its a good 14.7-14.9 and barely hitting the gas again it instanly goes all the way lean and dies. does anyone have a clue why my car doing this when it ran/drove fine and hour and half ago. thanks.

ive checked everything already b4. im going to go with costa14s theroy, GM mafs suck. im going to go back to stock 2g maf since they can hold some good HP and i dont plan on going over 400

Hey actually I told you that first. And your response was that you're not going to because it's been running fine for 3 months. So it's my theory.

haha ok your right, you said it first LOL. i just didnt feel like looking up that far. sorry

i put the ecu back in along with the 2g maf and im still having the problems. im getting a constant air temp code too. it doesnt matter if its the gm maf or the 2g maf, still same code after i erase them. its reading like 197 degrees celcuis on my logger as well. could a wire be messed up somewhere in the harness

I didn't even know the DSMs had a air temp sensor. I know Toyotas do. HOw's he ignition? What if it's the spark that's cutting out.

the air temp sensors built into the MAF. spark could be it, but im throwing a cel for the air temp. it reading like 360 degrees F

already did that as well. how common is it for maf-translator to go bad. im going to wire it up as it should be from the factory and go from there, but ive also been reading in some places where people are having similar probs and its the CAS. does the CAS and air temp have anyhing in common. i know they both tell how much fuel to give the car

fuel pump is working and i know its no where near out of gas cause i just filled it up b4 it started doing this. i thinks it a bad sensor ground anyways

ive checked everything over and over again. i got a factory service manual and looked at symtoms for code 13 and checked everything, but everything is point back to the ecu. i just bought another one. ill keep u guys posted.

P.S. has anyone seen a intake air temp and 300+ degrees

Isn't your maft wired into your ecu or something like that? Maybe you could check the continuity of all wires in the connector and compare with someone with a running car.

i took the maft off and the car runs fine even though the iat seem really low now. has anyone ever heard of a bad maft

ok i put the maft back on and figured out why i was getting a high iat and fixed it. the car is still just dying as soon as peddle is pressed

i reset the translator and for some reason and it fixed my problem. so it fixed now. thanks guys for all your help
