Car destroyed...

On 10/23/09 My neighbor set her house on fire in a freak accident and in doing so destroyed my home as well as my car, truck and motorcycle. I lost everything. So I guess this means that I am no longer a DSM'er I am sure I will scan these forums from time to time. But the loss is pretty overwhelming and please pray for me.

Your insurance will cover it if you can provide receipts. But i am assuming any you had were in the house.

I'd go visit her and start pinching the hose on her oxygen tank. She karmically owes you big time and she needs to know it's her dumb-@ss fault.

i know how bad it sucks to loose it all, my house burnt down while i was out of town last year...i lost 98% of everything, and my cbr1000. I have no idea why or how, but my dad had the bike in the living room.

She died later that evening around 3 am. So a beat down is out of the question.
the family doesn't have much money so suing them is out of the question as well.
They (the family) are trying to say she quit smoking a month ago but I'm not buying that story, I think they are trying to sue the oxygen tank company for faulty equipment. I just don't think that dog will hunt.

Your insurance will cover it if you can provide receipts. But i am assuming any you had were in the house.

Most of the time an Insurance company will give you up to a set amount for optionally installed equipment (usually up to $1,500). In order to recieve any more than that you would have had to purchase a seperate endorsement.

Well, I finalized my truck with insurance and I am actually going to get some back, I really wasn't expecting it since I thought they would only pay off at best. I am also probably going to buy my brothers yellow Porsche Boxster for what he owes on it, which is about $12.000 (Not sure about that color though WTF) But its a nice car. Does anyone know much about them? Can they be modified within reason? I also found a place thats pretty nice in a really good area. and I will never live in a duplex again!! Thanks to all of you with your words of encouragement, I really appreciate it so much!

Thanks for the reply, I went ahead and bought it. It is awesome! Not great speed, but decent. And it handles like its on rails, the build quality is there too! I went ahead and got an extended warranty with it through Arvest Bank and only had to finance 10G's. Only down side so far is the closest dealer is in memphis WTF Hopefully I won't be needing them anytime soon, my brother put new brakes on it right before I bought it from him. I guess things are looking up. But I still miss the 'ol Eclipse. Hopefully, I will be able to post pictures of it soon.
