dont your AFC get power from the ECU ?
first place id start is the motor fuse in the box under the hood. From there move on
and verify the ECU is still good.

check to see if the lights are coming on inside the car. dome lights, key ring light, do not go by the light on your radio because that will still come on. if those lights dont come on. there is a fuse under the hood. black fuse 100wt dont try prying it off because its screwed in. check that fuse if it blew then you have to get another one. this happened to my car when i got my new head put on or if you have access to one of those things that read your check engine see if you plug it in and if it works then i dont think thats your problem.

Check and see if you have spark. Check both sides of the coil pack. Odds are if you have no spark or fuel and your car did what it did, its a crank angle sensor malfunction. You will need to replace that.

What you are pointing at is just a little ground wire. It by itself not going to cause the problems you are describing.
