Car Cleaning

The Tunnel of Rain at the gas station.

Nice. I tried to go to a carwash to clean my car b4, but my car was too low and when I left, I scratched my front bumper pretty bad. I guess it was my punishment for being too lazy to wash my car LOL

Sometimes, I think my car looks better when it's got a little dirt slung on it.

Partly being because it's awd and it makes it seem badass. And some because the previous owner re-painted the car himself, and didn't use a glossy black.

I only use the touchless ones with flat floors.

When I used to go, I'd only use touchless ones as well, but I could never find one with a flat floor. I actually could clear the floor when the height was stock, but once I dropped the car, BLEH hehe.

Yea..thers also a bunch more that I cant really think of. This is just off the top of my head. I dont know why but I could never get into the Zainos thing.

Just curious to see how many people go and get their car washed or they do it themselves. personally i don't trust them LOL. i have herd too many bad stories about people coming out with scratches and the car wash denies it.

I have to hand wash my car. All 3 of my Eclipse's, I had/have to. If I take it through a car wash, and this is on all 3 of them it does/did this, water would leak in from around the driver and passenger side window's, where the side-mirrors are and through the speaker trim. Wish I could bring it through the car wash but than again by hand-washing it, it gives me that tingling feeling inside. :)

I never go to the drive through car washes, the touch ones can scratch, the touch-less ones don't get the car completely clean & even if they did work, I couldn't go through because the cars lowered.

I sometimes go to the pay coin washes that you do yourself but most of the time I do it at home. That wasy you get the best wash & the least amount of scratches.

i usually do it at home by myself. because then you know exactly what your doing adn you get to know your car better. Like where there might be a scratch or not. idk, i have gone to carwashes where i get out and wash it my self. I only use there hose and then what it my self.

I as well am the only person allowed to wash my car. It ends up cleaner than taking it to the car wash people and i wash it with more detail as well. Gives me that extra pleasure.

ha mine too! where can you get the molding for around the doors to seal it completely?

I was mine by hand with a squirt bottle and towels. The water dries too fast if I use the hose out here in AZ

I wouldnt take my car to a automated wash, it wouldnt clear the track runners anyways LOL sits too low.

I Usually hit up the local coin wash. There are some nice ones in the area, I like the uses of hot water, and engine cleaner. But I always take a mit with me to scrub some areas to get clean, and dry it there with a rag. Take it home and due the rest.

I can't do the automatic wases.. My car is way too low... and they don't do a good enough job with details... I like my rims spotless and everything shining... but I would use the drive in ones, where you pay quarters to wash for a while and spend as much time as you like... as long as no one else is there... LOL....
