I am buying a 96 Eclipse DST from a guy today. There are a few problems with the car. Other than cosmetics the timing is off and when the turbo spools the car bogs.
This is the mod list from the guys sell post:
Tokico Illumina full adjustable suspension
Racingharts forget the model
z been awhile! Brand new Falken tires 100% tread
stainless/hard brake lines all the way to tank
Greddy intercooler/piping
greddy type-s bov
16g turbo ported and clipped
hahn racecraft 3" downpipe
3" exhauist mandrel bent
EFI systems inc ecu with data logger "Old School"
Msd ignition
HKS boost controller
Hks turbo timer
550cc injectors
fpr mounted on fuel rail
Sparco racing seats "REAL" not knock offs MINT
boost exhaust temp fuel pressure gauges also a autometer shift light All working!
Pioneer head unit practically brand new! with pioneer ipod adapter
Full audio wires running to precision power amp
kicker l7 sub 10"
car is fully dynomatt'd for quiet ride!
Low boost is set for 14lb and 19lb High boost. The guy thinks its a fuel cut. I was thinking boost leak. Before I build a boost leak tester, how would I test if it is indeed a fuel cut? Lower the boost to like 8lb and see if it runs good? I need some advice what to do, I need the car up and running hopefully by Saturday.
Thanks for the help!
