My car has been bogging down when the engine is cold upon acceleration.Usually in the mornings when i first warm the car up.1st and 2nd gear only during initial accel. Any ideas? :talon:

This is a GOOD thing. Any car I've ever driven does the same thing. In a perfect world, you should be giving that motor at least 2 minutes of idle before driving anyways. If you do drive it right after start up without any time, make sure the oil pressure is up, and I wouldn't take it up over 2k RPMs until at least teh needle has moved some.

When we start our cars the ecu is in open loop. In open loop control, the sequence of commands in the programming of the ecu is controlling the engine irrespective of the consequences, as apposed to closed loop where the system involves feedback from sensors on the engine to ensure that proper fuel delivery, ignition timing, ect. This means that you getting on it a little in the mornings isn't causeing it to bog, it just does know what to do with boost pressure and the load until it is warmed up. Also, our cars have heated o2 sensors that will not be sending a proper signal to the ecu until it is warm up.

So, just let the car warm up a little before you drive or at least before you kind of get on it and you will be good.

Thanks, i was beginning to think i had a definite problem arising, But now that i know its pretty much normal i feel a whole lot better,I will let it warm up a little more, probably best for the car anyway. :talon:

You have a logger? Could be phantom knock from lifter tick first thing in the moring, causing timing to be pulled, which will cause a bigging situation like you are describing.
