Car almost died, check engine light on for .5 seconds [NEED HELP]

I was driving down the road and just putting it into 3rd gear. I wasn't driving it hard. Just as soon as I start letting the clutch out, the car practically dies. The revs go to 0 and my check engine light came on for a split second and then it all just came back when I put the clutch back in.

I babied the car back home and popped the hood to see if it had anything to do with loose clamps during my recent install of my intake and LICP. Everything checked out fine. I look down by the radiator and this is what I found...

I have no idea where it came from. It has no evidence of having a clamp to hold it onto anything. It has some oil on it. I will be checking the engine code tomorrow. I am hoping somebody might shed some light on it tonight if possible.

It looks like its for the turbo to intake pipe rubber.

It looks like it but its too small. It's only about 1" - 1.5" long. I already have a coupler connecting the intake pipe to the turbo. All is solid there.

I'm pretty sure its the rubber sleeve that goes onto the inlet of the T25. It gets sandwiched by the stock intake snorkel and the inlet of the compressor housing. Yours looks in better shape than mine.

If that is the case, how did it come off with a secure connection of the intake to the turbo inlet?

I just woke up. I plan on working on the car later today. I will post the engine code as soon as I can.

It came off when you installed your new intake. You may or may not have had to reuse it. I reused mine.

No engine code was stored. It was the little rubber ring that goes over the turbo inlet. Must have fell out of the stock intake pipe while doing the swap. Added it back in the mix. Also found a clamp loose that holds the intake pipe to the maf. Tightened every clamp I could find. All is well. Thx guys.
