I could not find any threads that addressed this and my Chilton and Haynes manuals don't give me the answer either. I thought I'd removed everything, but apparently there's still something holding it in place. In the attached pic, you can see I've removed the two long TB to intake manifold bolts on the right side but the two studs on the left side still remain. Are there supposed to be bolts there? What's the secret? I'd sure appreciate some help.

The studs are supposed to be there and they stay after you pull the tb off. Try pulling harder, it's probably just stuck from years of use.

Try using a block of wood, sticking it to the throttle body and persuading it with a hammer. The studs are supposed to be there. The only thing that really hold the tb on are the 2 bolts, and 2 nuts on studs.

This might sound stupid but i've seen it happen before haha. Make sure both coolant lines at the bottom are disconnected. I once saw one of my buddies pull for like 15 minutes until i finally showed him.

Excellent! Thank you! This is why I keep reading these posts! I just don't want to break anything else by forcing it--Lord knows, I've broke my share of stuff trying to "fix it." Now I know it's okay! THANK YOU!
