Ive been trying to track down a boost leak for a while now. I'm hoping someone may have had this problem before and can help me out. When I pump air into the leak tester it will hold for a couple seconds then it will leak out of what sounds like the compressor cover. Its not coming out of the j-pipe, it almost sounds like its coming out around the big circlip that holds the compressor cover on. I know theres the big o-ring under the compressor housing, could the o-ring be bad and this is where its leaking from ? This is the only one that I have and id like to fix it. Thanks

Yes that is possible. Try spraying some soapy water around the area while under pressure and if you see bubbles then that is where it is at.

Yup. :thumb:
MachV sells replacement O-rings.
Also, test from the LICP for more accurate test results once the boost leak at the compressor housing has been fixed.

Thanks for the help. Since it was leaking at the turbo thats what I did a few weeks ago, I tested it where the lower pipe goes on the intercooler. I need to get a fmic and pipes over the winter my stock pipes are looking rough LOL .
