cant make over 17psi of boost above 5k

i have a fp18g on my 2.3, it wont seem too make more then 17psi up top. im seeing 25psi at 3-45k rpm but it tappers off above that. has anyone esle had this problems with a stroker with an 18g? am i pullin in more air then the turbo can keep up with? the car continues to pull to 7k, and my airflow is up around 2300hz till red line also. and i dont have any boost leaks

turbo is a month old, still very tight

I think its possible that your turbo cant keep up with the flow requirements of your 2.3. If my math is correct, a 2.3l revving til 7000rpm at 24psi at 90%ve will require 673cfm. The 18g compressor wheel is only rated at 600cfm and is max capable of about 630 at about 23psi
