Yea so when i bought the car the guy told me there is a datalogger that can be connected to a laptop, with TMO software, so it worked for about a year now. Now i cant get it to connect to my laptop, keeps saying link down, so i went and started ripping stuff apart to see if i can see any wires broken or anything, and i come to find this..

Well if anyone looks at this i found out where those 4 wires go to on the ECU

RED - Ignition Pulse Detect (tach)
GREED - ABS Control Unit (AWD, ABS only)
BLACK - Ignition Switch - 1G
YELLOW - Ignition Timing Adjustment Connector

what the heck did this guy do?, there is so many wires in my 1G i cant figure out what is what, he must have made some kinda custom A/F , EGT, and VOLT guage all in one, after i played with the ecu that custom guage is all wacky now, idk what to do with the wiring in this car. Between the alarm system, the safc, the guages, and the datalogger, i cant figure out where to start and afraid to touch anything cause i may forget where it goes...

its is custom, thats for sure, Im with you, a custom logger adaptor, just odd the way its wired. My wiring on my 2g ecu is hacked up as well, but not like that. but thats deff a DB9 port. Is there any way you can get ahold of the old owner and ask? that would be the first place to start.

Thanx for the response fellow joursey boy, ya i have his number on my phone still, i kinda figured out what he did, that whole thing he made was some kinda big resistor, i tried to just bypass that board and go directly into the diag connector along with right into the ecu, im still not getting any connectivity.

good luck on that, hope he puts some light on it, you can always just get a regluar logger, or go dsmlink down the road, Im tossing up selling my loger/pda/cable because im going dsmlink. Glad you got it almost figured out tho, that would drive me nuts.

Heh, im not from JERSEY, its just a town in the middle of Pa, no water by me at all LOL, except pine creek LOL.
