cant get car to turn over.. help please.

changed the head gasket to start off...

i got all the fluids in the car and thought it was going to start up.. well it never turned over i have no idea what the problem is.. it backfired once but that was about it.. iam not sure if its a fuel thing or what.. if anyone knows of anything that could help me out.. let me know..


p.s. what i heard when i was trying to start the car was. a pshh.. like preasure coming out somewhere.. coming from the back over by the fuel rail. this is coming from my friend who stood by the hood while i tried to crank it over.

i installed as i was doing the head gasket..
-fuel injectors
-fpr
-belt (all of them)
-water pump
-intercooler piping
-spark plugs

If you just changed the head gasket and if the car was runnig before that, then check your timeing and all your connections.

some cars dont start immediatley after a head gasket job,this is because the lifters have lost thier oil pressure completly ,causing the valves not to open fully.. no start.

wait a bit and use some start spray and quit mashing the gas trying to start it.

Your car needs three things to run air, fuel and spark(ignition), if one of those 3 or missing it will not start, now that is assuming the timing is properly set.

fixed the problem it was the little connector under the intake manifold. i still have no idea what connector it is.. if anyone knows let me know as well please.
