Ok so the lights work and car fans start and everything and A alarm went off in my car I never knew I had (only have had it for a couple months and previous owner never said anything about it) anyway I turn the key and its not the tick tick sound like it needs a jump but I tried anyway, it doesnt turn over even if I give it a little gas?????? :( help?

it cranks but doesnt turn over, Im thinking dead fuel pump???? alternator works and starter so I dont know whats left

It cranks but doesnt start???? dont know how to describe it I dunno thought I think im going to get it sent out I got AAA to tow for free then have my REAL mechanic LOL look at it and run a diagnostic on it....MORE MONEY FOR THE DSM LOL

it was before then I disconnected the power with the door open and then when connected the battery up it went and i put the keys in the ignition and it stopped, I dont think the alarm is the problem

It sounds either spark or fuel related. Look at one of your wires and have someone crank it to see if you're getting spark. If you are then it most likely is fuel...

my mechanic looked at it, said one of the pulleys for the timing belt was bent way back and it might have caused internal damage but I didnt have him looked because I cant repair it, he said it was going to cost 800 or more then thats not even looking at the block, the engine might be messed up and that could run me 3 or 4k. SOOOO I think that I might be parting out the car, but going to look into the mechanic who passed it for inspection because it shouldnt have passed with the strut towers being rusted out and the timing belt hadnt been done.....department of motor vehicles safety here I come see if anything can get covered by this mechanic.....if not long live dsm.....:( thx

Wait a minute... Bent? I honestly cannot see in any shape or form how one of the timing belt pulleys can bend at all. The mechanics trying to yank you, id definitely would find a local dsmer in your community to come check it out.

Not to mention even if you skip timing or blow some piston rings, the car will still crank over and run. Heck my car ran with 1 melted exhaust valve.

Also post pics of the strut tower rust, had the same thing, fixed it up for less then 10 dollars, had a welder of course.

Dont jump to conclusions to fast.

Well the mechanic I go to is pretty reliable, my family has been going there for years and hes not one to charge for random things, but I will take a look at it tomorrow when it gets towed back to my house cause I dont understand aswell how it could be bent back so yeah
