Can't boost LOWER than 18-20psi

Ok, I understand the concept behind boost creep and spike, but this is just crazy. So I installed evoiii. 680s, dsmlink, wablro190. I have the rest of the supporting mods. Here's the problem even with the boost controller completely out (joeP), it STILL shoots up and beyond 20, I have to let off the gas to keep boost running. So I take it to a local friendly DSM shop, they verify the boost controller is working. We took of the BCS lines, even routed the lines with no MBC in order to open up evoiii's stock wastegate setting. Still, Now it shoops up to about 18 and creeps to 20 and then back down. I have the supporting mods to support this kind of boost, but I dont want to boost this high until I get my fmic (in 2 days). I'm running out of options here, it just doesn't make sense. Any help is appreciated guys

Check for leaks in the lines, check that the waste gate lever moves, check that the waste gate arm moves, and also check to see that the line going to the boost controller/waste gate is from a valid boost source (elbow/manifold)

Check your vaccume line going to your wastegate actuator for any holes or tears.

I know the vacuum lines are good because the blow of valve is on the same line as the wastegate and it blows off normally. Would a tubular 02 housing fix this?

most likely u dont have a vacuum leak.
i read somewhere that the evo 3's are hard to keep lower than 18psi.
if u go any lower then this it will speak.......

u have to port all necessary components like the first person stated.
if not its gona stay in the 18-20psi range

Just thought I'd post the solution in case someone finds this later by searching. My injen-style intake was actually pinching off the line to my wastegate and causing it to not open. Make sure ya check your vacuum lines for kinks!
