hey guys i have a problem that i need fixed ASAP, I was driving home from UTI on Friday night and it was running fine unitl i stopped at a rest stop. Started up the car and started driving again, but about an hour later i tried to go into boost(my gauge reads vacuum and boost 30-0-30) it hit 0 and it felt like a brick wall and started running really rich i could smell the gas from inside the car. I made it home and went out this morning and drove it again, the same symptoms existed. i thought that maybe i had a boost leak, tested and fixed the leaks, problem still existed, then i replaced the GM Maf, problem still exists. So now im thinking that maybe my MAF-T is bad? The thing that gets me is that it ran fine the whole way home until the rest stop(about 2 hrs) and it ran fine while at school, can the translator go bad that quick without warning, any help will be much appreciated since i gotta leave to go back up tomorrow night.

Thanks,
Jon B

Did you check to see if maybe one of your fuel pressure solenoid vac lines popped off ?

The translator i wouldnt think so, do you have a logger to check for codes, got mine so cheap and it helps with stuff like that especially sensors.

yea i have DSMLink but i think its a knock off bc i cant get half the stuff like knock, anit-lag and stuff like that, all i get is RPM, Misc, DTC, Timing, and Fuel.

Update: Checked all plugs and wires and theyre good, checked power to the GM Maf and thats got power, checked over the translator for broken transistors and relays and there are none.

Heres an example that will maybe help you guys out: I have 2-step set at 5500rpm, i slowly go up to that without making boost and itll run fine, now when i push the throttle in heavier the boost gaugue goes to zero fine then i let off and do it again and itll stop at about 5 vacuum and die out/bog. The car idles fine no matter what even when it bogs out

ok maybe that didnt fix the problem, it ran fine for 2 weeks up at school, then on the way home for the weekend at the exact same spot it does the same thing again, it was raining and its about a 2 hr drive at 3300-3500rpm, any ideas, i replaced the o2 sensor and the gm maf 2 weeks ago.

Just wanted to update this thread. I sold Jon a new 2gB, And I now have this one, And will be posting back with the results. I'm heading up the shop in 10 minutes, And will post the fix, As soon as I get home tonight. I'll be spending the day working on the car as I put all others off to the side for now..
