I have a bone stock 95 Eclipse GSX and this car does not have a cam angle sensor on the side of the intake cam for me to adjust the timing. It is not in the VFAQ on how to adjust the timing on this type of setup. I also have a 97 Eclipse GST and that one does have a cam angle sensor on the side of the intake cam to adjust the timing. Anyone now how to adjust the timing without a cam angle sensor on there motor?

95s do have a cas it is on the other side under the cam sprocket (that is why your cam sprocket in the intake has the funny metal piece in it). I don't think you can adjust it though because it is fixed in place.

My 97 GST has the normal 2G CAS that is adjustable on the opposite side of the intake cam gear, but my 95 GSX does have it under the intake cam gear but nothing to adjust on the opposite side like my 97. Just like SloTSI mentioned, its fixed in place and it seems like it can't be adjusted like my 97. All I have on my 95 on the opposite side of the intake cam gear is a non adjustable metal braket, is this how it suppose to be?

I've got the same thing. I've got a '95 GSX and I'm trying to time it. But I have a solid piece where the intake cam is at. There is what appears to be a sensor on a bracket, but nothing happens if you adjust it. I guess I'm sol if I want to adjust the timing. In addition, it seems like the timing is not correct when I check it, is that ok? Does the ECU know what it is doing?

2g base time is NON adjustable.
Taken from 2g dsm Hayes Manual (base timing - non adjustable

unless you have an advanced tuning tool like DSM LINK your timing is where its at.
