2Ga No cam angle sensor...?

I just recently picked up my 95 TSi AWD and just now noticed that there's no CAS on the left side of the intake cam, like I have seen on my buddy's 98 GSX... What's goin on here?

Your looking at the wrong side...

If you take off your cam gear cover... then you'll see it...

Well I cant see the pics but I think I know what you're referring to. 95-96 4g63 dsms have the cas over by the intake cam gear. As to 97-99, they have it by the end of the intake cam, close to the valve cover breather hose.

Yours is on the intake cam itself. It is a small sensor you can see it if you take off the belt cover for the cam gears.
